چکیده

The low level of carbonic anhydrase activity in groundnut grown on soil with limited zinc (Zn) content is one the factors responsible for yield groundnuts Nigeria. Hence, this study was carried out to further strengthen significance Zn enhancing photosynthetic processes through activity. It also determines how application affects biochemical components, growth, and composition Arachis hypogaea cv SAMNUT 22. In study, a potexperiment performed investigate effects five concentrations applied form oxide (0.00, 1.00, 2.00, 3.00 4.00 gL-1ZnO) chlorophyll, activity, bio-productivity proximate seeds. Data aforementioned parameters were subjected One-way Analysis Variance means separated using Duncan Multiple Range Test at p<0.05. results showed that total chlorophyll leaves increased increasing concentration ZnO hence lowest highest recorded 1.00 gL-1 respectively. Carbonic anhydrase, after flowering marked improvement increases compared control. terms growth components attributes respectively enhanced when increased. Carbohydrate, protein ash harvested seeds significantly higher (p<0.05) treated plants indicated considered optimum enhancement biochemical, studied groundnut. Also, reported positive influences only carbohydrate, contents

Carbonic anhydrase under pressure

Investigations of the rapid enzyme carbonic anhydrase have now been extended by crystallographic analysis at high CO2 pressures to examine the movements of water molecules in different steps of the catalysis. The rate of catalysis seems well explained by the assembled observations.

Electrometric and colorimetric determination of carbonic anhydrase.

The activity of carbonic anhydrase has been estimated by three procedures: manometric (l-3), calorimetric (2, 4-8), and electrometric (9). For investigations of the enzyme concentration of tissues the calorimetric method has often been used in preference to the manometric technique because of its relative simplicity. A disadvantage of the calorimetric method has been the inhibitory effects of t...

Carbonic Anhydrase and Zinc in Plant Physiology

Carbonic anhydrase (CA) (EC: 2.4.1.1) catalyzes the rapid conversion of carbon dioxide plus water into a proton and the bicarbonate ion (HCO3) that can be found in prokaryotes and higher organisms; it is represented by four different families. Carbonic anhydrase is a metalloenzyme that requires Zn as a cofactor and is involved in diverse biological processes including pH regulation, CO2 transfe...

Therapeutic applications of glycosidic carbonic anhydrase inhibitors.

The zinc enzymes carbonic anhydrases (CAs, EC 4.2.1.1) are very efficient catalysts for the reversible hydration of carbon dioxide to bicarbonate and hence play an important physiological role. In humans, 16 different isozymes have been described, some of them being involved in various pathological disorders. Several of these isozymes are considered as drug targets, and the design of selective ...
